Outstanding classical music festival set over two weekends. Beautifully set in, and using the unique acoustics of, the 12th Century Brinkburn Priory, 10 miles north west of Morpeth. Performers this weekend include Red Priest (Pirates of the Baroque), The King's Singers and the Gabrieli Consort & Players.

The Knight’s Tournament 
From 11.30am 
Follow your favourite team of heroes as they battle it out in a national contest of jousting, archery, sword fighting, mounted skill at arms and falconry. In a carnival of colour and courage the pageantry of the 15th Century tournament is brought to life with an array of costumed and armoured knights and squires. The spirit of the age is evoked with a range of skills including the dramatic charge of horseback jousting. See lances smash and weapons crash in this action packed day of competition. This national contest reaches a finale at the English Heritage Festival of History at Kelmarsh Hall & Gardens on 13th & 14th August.

Victorian Picnic Weekend

Richard York & Brolly Circus 
Join Brolly Circus and his period shows of circus skills and tricks, and you can even have a go yourself. Richard York also entertains with performances of period music as a Victorian strolling musician adding to the atmosphere of a Victorian afternoon. Beware there are fairies in the garden too, if you can find the names of all the fairy folk you can claim your free prize. Bring a picnic and enjoy family fun from the age of Victoria.
